Intersections can be dangerous places, and around 40 percent of crashes take place at intersections each year. 61 percent of intersection crashes involve drivers making left turns. When drivers fail to check, they risk colliding with another driver.

Failure to yield the right of way or check a blindspot are leading contributors to crashes involving left-hand turns. Injured parties often suffer from serious to life-threatening injuries after an accident. In some cases, injured victims can contact a qualified Illinois car crash attorney to pursue deserved compensation.
