Riverdale, IL – 2 Killed in Hit-&-Run at I-57 & 138th St

Riverdale, IL (April 26, 2020) – Two people lost their lives in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday, April 25th, in Riverdale, Illinois. The accident took place on I-57 NB near 138th Street. According to local authorities, the two victims were walking on foot when they were struck by a vehicle at around 4:30 a.m. 

The two victims were reportedly standing next to a disabled vehicle that was being loaded onto a tow truck. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other party was transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The vehicle fled the scene and was later found abandoned along the highway.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being handled by local authorities.
