Deadly Pedestrian Accidents in Illinois

Pedestrians are vastly over-represented in national roadway fatalities. In 2017, a pedestrian was killed every 88 minutes on average. 16 percent of traffic deaths that year involved pedestrian accidents.

In Illinois, a majority of deadly pedestrian crashes take place in Cook County. Victims who are killed in an accident leave behind family members to pick up the pieces. In some cases, surviving family members can contact a qualified Illinois wrongful death attorney to discuss possible compensation.
