Elmhurst, IL – ISP Officer Rear-Ended at I-290 & York St

Elmhurst, IL (April 26, 2020) – An Illinois State Police officer was injured after his patrol vehicle was rear-ended on Saturday, April 25th, in Elmhurst, Illinois. The officer was reportedly blocking traffic for a stalled vehicle on I-290 near York Street. The vehicle was rear-ended by a gray Nissan at around 4:40 a.m. that morning. 

The impact caused the patrol vehicle to spin out into the middle lane of traffic. The officer was hospitalized for treatment and later released. No updates have been provided at this time.

ISP is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
