Effingham, IL – Work Zone Accident Reported on I-70

Effingham, IL (April 25, 2020) – A crash was reported in a work zone near Effingham, Illinois on Thursday morning, April 23rd. According to local sources, the crash occurred on I-70 WB near mile marker 85. Law enforcement officials were called to the scene at around 9:15 a.m. 

At this time, the circumstances of the accident aren’t clear. All lanes on I-70 WB were reportedly blocked following the collision. No word has been provided on the extent of the resulting injuries.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being handled by local authorities.
