Chicago, IL – Pedestrian Killed in Hit & Run Accident on 31st St

Chicago, IL (April 28, 2020) – Marco Gomez-Andrade, 26, turned himself in to authorities after fatally striking a pedestrian on Monday night, April 27th. Gomez-Andrade was reportedly driving a 2015 Chevy Yukon when he hit a man crossing at the intersection of 31st Street and Kedvale Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. The driver failed to remain at the scene and drove home after the accident. 

Gomez-Andrade went home and later called 911 to turn himself in. The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The man had no identification and hasn’t been identified at this time.

Gomez-Andrade was charged with failure to report an accident involving death. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
