Hundreds of people are killed and tens of thousands injured in red-light collisions each year. 846 people in 2018 lost their lives in red-light crashes. Nearly half of those deaths were pedestrians or cyclists.

Crossing a congested intersection can be dangerous, and millions of crashes occur at intersections each year. When a reckless driver is responsible for the accident, he or she can be held responsible for any resulting injuries.
