Chicago, IL (April 10, 2020) – Two officers with the Chicago Police Department were injured following an overnight crash. The accident happened Thursday night, April 9th, at the intersection of 63rd Street and Normal Boulevard. Two officers in a large, marked squad car were struck by a reportedly stolen Nissan.
Initial reports revealed that the Nissan ran a red light at the intersection and struck the patrol vehicle. Two officers were rushed to a medical facility for treatment. They are both believed to be in stable condition.
One occupant of the Nissan was also hospitalized. CPD is currently investigating the collision.
