Car crashes have the potential to be extremely dangerous, and sadly, many are killed in these accidents. Each year nationwide, more than 38,000 people are killed in vehicle collisions. There were 998 fatal accidents reported in Illinois in 2017.

Car accidents in Illinois and across the country can usually be attributed to the actions of a negligent driver. When someone is killed in a crash, surviving family members are usually left to pick up the pieces. Family members should consult with a qualified Illinois wrongful death attorney to ensure that the person responsible is held accountable.
