Springfield, IL (March 29, 2020) – A serious accident resulted in shutdowns in parts of Springfield, Illinois on Friday evening, March 27th. The site of the crash was located at the intersection of 6th and Jefferson Streets near the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. Four people were reportedly injured in the accident.

Initial reports revealed that the collision involved a pickup truck and another vehicle. Emergency units responded to the scene to render aid to those injured in the accident. At this time, the cause of the crash is unknown.

An ongoing investigation into the accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
