Rockford, IL (March 22, 2020) – A 52-year-old man was injured after being struck by a car in Rockford, Illinois on Thursday night, March 19th. The crash occurred at the intersection of 12th Street and 7th Avenue. The crash was reported by the Rockford Police Department at around 8:30 p.m. 

Authorities arrived at the scene to render aid to the injured party. The man was found unconscious on the roadway by responding officials. He reportedly suffered serious head wounds in the crash.

The man was hospitalized following the collision. It’s unknown if the driver remained at the scene.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently underway.
