Rockford, IL – Ambulance Injury Crash at State & Longwood St

Rockford, IL (March 17, 2020) – A Rockford Fire Department ambulance was involved in a crash with a pickup truck late Saturday night, March 14th. The crash took place near the intersection of East State Street and South Longwood Street at around 11 p.m. Multiple parties involved in the crash were reportedly injured in the collision.

At this time, it’s unknown if the ambulance was carrying any patients at the time of the crash. The west and northbound lanes of the intersection were blocked following the accident. The cause of the crash hasn’t been confirmed by the Rockford Police Department.

Local authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
