Marengo, IL – 5 Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on E Grant Hwy

Marengo, IL (March 14, 2020) – A man in Marengo was charged with driving under the influence after a two-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon, March 12th. Two children and three adults were injured in the crash that occurred near the Taco Ball located at the 19800 block of East Grant Highway. Local emergency units responded to the scene at around 3:20 p.m.

Chad Morin, 45, of Marengo was driving a maroon Honda SUV when the vehicle left the roadway, striking a silver Ford SUV. One of the vehicles involved in the accident struck the Taco Bell sign. Two adults and two children in the Ford, along with Morin, were all transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Morin was charged with DUI and improper lane usage. An investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
