Lincoln, IL – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Semi Near Lincoln Hospital

Lincoln, IL (March 5, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in Lincoln, Illinois. The crash took place on Monday, March 2nd, at around 12:30 p.m. According to the Illinois State Police, the collision occurred on Historic US-66 (Lincoln Highway) in front of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

The details of the crash aren’t clear at this time. The factors contributing to the accident haven’t been released, and the identity of the deceased party hasn’t been reported by local sources. The identity of the deceased is currently awaiting notification from surviving family members.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by ISP.
