Deadly Airplane Crashes in Illinois

From 2013 to 2015, 703 small or private general aviation aircraft crashed in the United States. These collisions resulted in nearly 1,000 deaths. General aviation faces far fewer regulations than commercial flights, meaning that there is greater room for error.

A majority of crashes are caused by pilot error or inexperience. The National Transportation Safety Board often manages the investigation into these cases, which is cause for concern, considering that this agency could be held potentially liable for the accident. Injured parties should work with a qualified Illinois aviation crash attorney with experience handling claims involving plane crashes.
