Effingham, IL (March 31, 2020) – Three people were injured following a collision in Effingham, Illinois on Sunday morning, March 22nd. The crash occurred near the intersection of IL-33 (N. Keller Drive) and Midtowne Boulevard at around 11:29 a.m. According to initial reports, Lisa Berkel, 53, was driving through the intersection when her vehicle was struck by another car driven by Richard Milanec, 38, of Shumway, Illinois.
Milanec’s vehicle T-boned Berkel’s car. Berkel and her passenger, Bill Turner, 76, of Teutopolis, Illinois, were injured in the crash. Milanec’s passenger, Melissa Milanec, 33, was also injured. No further updates have been provided.
Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the collision.
