T-Bone Crashes in Illinois

When a driver impacts a vehicle directly from the side, it’s known as a T-bone collision. These crashes are usually caused by drivers who fail to properly yield the right of way. Sadly, these accidents can cause serious injuries to those involved because the sides of a vehicle provide little protection in the event of a crash.

Each year, an estimated 8,000 people are killed in T-bone car accidents. Nearly 50 percent of fatal crashes involve T-bone impacts. If a reckless driver is responsible for a crash, he or she can be held liable for the resulting injuries.
