Bartlett, IL – 1 Injured in DUI Crash at E Lake St & Oak Ave

Bartlett, IL (March 28, 2020) – A North Aurora man was charged following a drunk driving collision in Bartlett, Illinois on Tuesday, March 24th. The crash occurred at the intersection of East Lake Street and Oak Avenue at around 7 p.m. According to initial sources, the crash occurred when a man driving a Subaru Crosstrek disobeyed a traffic control device on Oak Avenue and collided with a Chevy Sonic that was making a left turn at the intersection.

The driver of the Subaru was identified as Joshua O. Johnson, 32. The driver of the Chevy was injured and transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Johnson was charged with two felony counts of aggravated driving under the influence, as well as multiple other misdemeanor counts.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
