South Roxana, IL – UPDATE: Alex Turner Injured in Deadly IL-111 Crash

South Roxana, IL (February 25, 2020) – Local authorities have identified Alex E. Turner,21, as an injured victim involved in a fatal crash in South Roxana, Illinois that also took the life of a young girl. The accident took place on IL-111 near Broadway Avenue at around 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 23rd. Turner was a passenger in a 2002 Chevy pickup truck that struck a Nissan Altima near the intersection.

The Chevy was driven by Pavel Chernyavskiy, 29. The pickup struck an Altima driven by Frank J. Williford, 28, as the vehicle was making a left turn onto Broadway. Sadly, Williford’s 6-year-old daughter in the back seat of the vehicle was killed in the crash. Turner was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
