Morton, IL – UPDATE: Emma Voss Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on I-155

Morton, IL (February 11, 2020) – A fatal wrong-way crash left another driver seriously injured on Friday night, February 7th, in Morton, Illinois. The crash occurred on I-155 at around 6:40 p.m. Emma Voss was injured when a wrong-way driver traveling down I-155 struck her vehicle head-on.

Reports from authorities revealed that Wilburn E. Cole, 79, was traveling in the wrong direction down I-155 when he struck Voss’ vehicle. Voss was seriously injured and taken to a hospital in Peoria for treatment. Cole was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officials.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
