Morgan, IL – Deadly Wrong-Way Accident on I-155

Morgan, IL (February 8, 2020) – A head-on crash involving a wrong-way driver outside of Morgan, Illinois left one person dead on Friday, February 7th. The collision occurred on I-155 SB and was reported at 7:43 p.m. by local news sources. Reports from the Illinois State Police revealed that a black 2019 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV was traveling northbound on I-155 SB when the vehicle struck a Dodge Charger head-on. 

The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim hasn’t been revealed at this time. The driver of the Dodge was transported to Peoria hospital with serious injuries.

ISP is currently conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident. No further updates have been provided.
