Marshall, IL – Driver Injured in Collision on IL-1 at Douglas Rd

Marshall, IL (February 19, 2020) – A driver was injured following a car accident near Marshall, Illinois on Thursday, February 13th. The accident took place at the intersection of IL-1 and North Douglas Road at around 11:53 a.m. Initial reports revealed that a gray 2019 Jeep was following a white 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by James N. Morris, 19, of West Union, Illinois, when the driver-side rear-tire fell off the pickup. 

The driver of the Jeep, Madge L. Lagrand, 42, of Paris, Illinois, struck the tire while traveling on IL-1 NB. Lagrand was transported to Paris Community Hospital for treatment after the crash. No other injuries were reported.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
