Edgar Co, IL – 2 Seriously Injured at IL-49 & Co Rd 1800 N

Edgar Co, IL (February 1, 2020) – A single-vehicle accident in Edgar County, Illinois left two people seriously injured on Thursday afternoon, January 30th. The Illinois State Police reported that the crash took place on IL-49 near County Road 1800 North at around 4:45 p.m. Both victims had to be flown to medical facilities for treatment.

The victims have been identified as Shauna N. Campbell, 30, of Marshall, Illinois and a 14-year-old, also of Marshall. Both parties were injured when a Dodge Grand Caravan they were traveling in left the roadway and hit a ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The driver was cited for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

ISP is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
