Chicago, IL (February 23, 2020) – A Morton High School teacher has been identified as one of the three pedestrians injured in a crash in Chicago on Friday afternoon, February 21st. Local reports revealed that the crash occurred at around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Randolph and Halsted Streets when a vehicle ran a red light, hitting three pedestrians. One of the victims was later identified as Marshall Tucker, 46.
The three men were crossing Halsted Street when they were hit by a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by a 47-year-old man. The driver of the Hyundai disregarded a red light, making a turn onto Halsted from Randolph Street. Tucker was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago where he is now in critical condition due to severe head trauma.
Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
