Chicago, IL – Police Chase Injures 5 at Kedzie Ave & Jackson Blvd

Chicago, IL (February 9, 2020) – Five people were injured after two vehicles were involved in a crash with a car fleeing a police stop on the west side of Chicago on Saturday, February 8th. A Toyota Avalon hit a vehicle at the intersection of Kedzie Avenue and Jackson Boulevard after being stopped by police on Jackson Boulevard at around 9:47 p.m. Officers attempted to stop the Avalon, which entered the intersection and caused a crash. 

The Avalon struck a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old woman, with a 28-year-old man and a 5-year-old boy inside, and all three occupants were taken to Stroger Hospital. The impact caused this vehicle to collide with a black Chevy sedan, injuring a 40-year-old man and woman. Both were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, with the woman in critical condition.

No updates have been provided at this time. Local authorities are currently investigating the crash.
