Chicago, IL – Fatal Pedestrian Crash on S Lake Shore Dr

Chicago, IL (February 2, 2020) – On Saturday night, February 1st, was hit by a vehicle in the Soldier Field area of Chicago. The accident took place at the 1400 block of South Lake Shore Drive. Authorities were notified that a pedestrian was struck at around 7:45 p.m.

According to initial reports, the pedestrian was traveling eastbound on the roadway when they attempted to cross to the other side of the road. The male pedestrian was struck, suffering serious head trauma. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The identity of the deceased victim hasn’t been released at this time. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
