Out of all kinds of crashes, head-on collisions are some of the most damaging and deadly types of accidents. Victims of head-on crashes often suffer from intense physical and emotional suffering as well as significant financial damages. Sadly, many people are killed in head-on crashes each year.

Head-on crashes have an approximated 58 percent fatality rate according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. These collisions often happen in rural areas, with nearly 13 percent of deadly rural crashes being head-on impacts. In some cases, surviving family members can pursue lost compensation by contacting an Illinois wrongful death attorney.
