When two cars are traveling directly toward the other at the time of impact, it’s referred to as a head-on collision. In 2017, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reported that head-on collisions had a fatality rate of 58 percent. Each year, head-on crashes are responsible for 10 percent of deadly accidents.

These types of accidents are known to cause devastating injuries. When victims are killed, their families usually have to take on the financial burden. In some cases, a skilled Illinois wrongful death lawyer can help surviving family members recover lost compensation.
