Even at low speeds, head-on crashes can result in severe and life-threatening injuries. These crashes are fairly rare, only accounting for 2 percent of all reported collisions each year. However, head-on accidents are responsible for nearly 10 percent of all fatal crashes.

Head-on collisions are often caused by inattentive drivers who veer into oncoming lanes of traffic. Drivers may be unaware there is a vehicle headed right toward them and cause a serious accident. Family members of the deceased should contact a qualified Illinois wrongful death lawyer to obtain due compensation.
