Hecker, IL – Head-On Crash Injures 2 At IL-159 & LL Rd

Hecker, IL (January 6, 2020) – Two drivers sustained injuries following a head-on crash south of Hecker, Illinois. The site of the crash was located near the intersection of IL-159 and LL Road. The accident occurred on Friday evening, January 3rd, at around 10:45 p.m.

According to authorities at the scene, Stefan D. Bauer, 21, of Red Bud, Illinois was driving a 1998 Chevy S10 when the vehicle left the roadway. Bauer over-corrected the vehicle, causing him to enter oncoming traffic and collide with a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Amanda N. Johnson, 26, of Millstadt, Illinois. Both drivers were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

Local officials are currently conducting an investigation into the crash. No further details are available at this time.
