Effingham, IL (January 21, 2020) – Emergency responders arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle accident in Effingham on Thursday, January 16th. The crash took place near the corner of South 4th Street and West Fayette Avenue at around 1 p.m. Authorities at the scene were present to render aid to those injured in the accident.

The circumstances of the crash aren’t known at this time. According to initial reports, a driver failed to yield at the light and was hit by another car. The severity of the resulting injuries wasn’t disclosed.

No other updates have been provided. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
