Pedestrian Crashes in Chicago

Thumbnail image for pfmstock7-152.jpgIf you're a pedestrian, you are vulnerable to being seriously injured by a motor vehicle. Many drivers fail to notice pedestrians when they enter the roadway. This means that they are likely to hit those walking in the roadway, even if the pedestrian is using a designated crosswalk.

Pedestrian fatalities in Chicago have been on the rise. There were 46 pedestrian deaths in the city in 2017, compared to only 27 in 2013. An injured pedestrian may be able to hold a reckless driver accountable by contacting a Chicago pedestrian injury lawyer.
