Chicago, IL – UPDATE: At-Fault Driver Identified In Crash On 42nd St

Chicago, IL (January 11, 2020) – The identity of a driver who caused a fatal crash in Chicago on Wednesday morning, January 8th, has been revealed by local authorities. The accident happened in the Brighton Park area at the intersection of 42nd Street and Western Avenue. Everardo Coss, 38, was taken into custody by local law enforcement near the time of 10:10 a.m.

According to local reports, Coss was driving a Porsche when he ran a stop sign and T-boned another vehicle, sending a man to the hospital with internal bleeding and fractured vertebrae. The T-boned vehicle then rolled over onto two other vehicles. Coss fled the scene and reportedly claimed his vehicle had been stolen.

Coss was taken into custody under multiple felony charges, including leaving the scene of a crash. The investigation into the cause of the crash is currently in progress.
