Chicago Pedestrian Crashes

lawfirmimages-160.jpgPedestrians are at a much greater risk of being seriously injured than other roadway travelers. Unlike vehicle occupants who are encased in a car frame, pedestrians have little protecting them from the full impact of a crash. This is what makes these types of crashes so catastrophic.

In 2009, there were over 3,130 reported pedestrian crashes in Chicago. A majority of pedestrian crashes in Illinois happen in Chicago, as it's the state's main urban area. Injured parties should consult with a Chicago pedestrian injury attorney to pursue lost compensation.
