Chicago, IL – Man Injured In Head-On Crash On Lake Shore Dr

Chicago, IL (January 17, 2020) – A head-on collision left a man in Chicago injured early Thursday morning, January 16th. The accident happened near the corner of Lake Shore Drive and Diversey Parkway at around 4:00 a.m. According to initial reports, the crash was caused by a driver driving in the wrong direction on Lake Shore Drive.

A 31-year-old man driving a black Nissan Maxima was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive when he collided with a silver Ford Fusion. The 29-year-old man driving the Ford was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with complaints of neck and back pain. There are currently citations pending against the driver of the Nissan.

No other injuries were reported. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
