Chicago, IL (January 12, 2020) – Two children in Chicago were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in was struck by another car while stopped at a red light. The crash took place in the area of Old Irving Park on Saturday, January 11th. The driver reportedly hit a vehicle driven by a woman, 38, with two children in her car.
Neither driver was injured in the crash. A boy, 10, suffered swelling to his forehead, and a girl, 13, suffered knee and head pain. Both injured victims were transported to Lurie Children’s Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
The driver who lost control of his vehicle is not currently facing charges. An ongoing investigation into the crash is in progress.
