Left turns are critical pre-crash events, involved in nearly 22.2 percent of all reported crashes. Intersections are a particularly common spot for serious crashes, accounting for 50 percent of all major collisions each year. These accidents are known to result in fatal and life-threatening injuries.

61 percent of all intersection collisions involve left-hand turns. Even if the driver making the turn has the right of way, they are still at risk of being hit by a vehicle that runs an intersection. Surviving family members may be eligible to recover lost compensation with the help of an Illinois wrongful death attorney.
