Being injured by a drunk driver is a traumatic experience. Intoxicated motorists are acting with extreme negligence when they get behind the wheel. Statistics show that nearly all American citizens will be involved in a DUI crash at least once during their lifetime.

Despite increased awareness of the risks of drunk driving, DUI crashes are far too common. It is believed that 28 percent of all traffic fatalities are the result of a drunk driver. Injured victims can contact an Illinois car crash lawyer to protect their legal rights.
