Quincy, IL – 2 Injured In Rollover Accident Near 24th St & IL-96

Quincy, IL (December 29, 2019) – A man has been charged with driving under the influence after a rollover collision in Quincy, Illinois on Friday evening, December 27th. The collision took place near the intersection of IL-96 and North 24th Street at around 11:05 p.m. Illinois State Police reported that Robert Pierce, 43, of Warsaw, Illinois lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn. 

The vehicle came to a rest upright in a nearby ditch. Both Pierce and his passenger, Ann Pierce, 29, were transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy. Robert Pierce was arrested by ISP following the crash under charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed.

No further information is available at this time. ISP is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
