Orland Park, IL (December 5, 2019) – Two teachers were involved in a hit-and-run collision on Wednesday, December 4th, in Orland Park, Illinois. The accident took place near the Square Celt restaurant located at the 200 block of Orland Square Drive at around 8 p.m. The two victims were reportedly leaving a staff Christmas party at the time of the incident.

Both injured parties were transported to Silver Cross Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. Margaret Leja, 61, sustained fatal injuries, and the other victim, Elizabeth Kosteck, 54, was later released. There were no witnesses at the scene at the time of the crash.

Local officials reported that they believe the at-fault driver was leaving the same restaurant at the time of the collision. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently underway.
