Matteson, IL (December 26, 2019) – An elderly woman crashed into a Starbucks located at 4800 block of West 211th Street in Matteson, Illinois on Monday afternoon, December 23rd. Local authorities responded to the scene at around 3:53 p.m. Two parties were transported to local hospitals for treatment. 

The injured parties were hospitalized for glass-related injuries. The driver, who was over 70, reportedly accelerated instead of braking, causing her to crash into the establishment. The vehicle went into the building, through tables and chairs, and nearly hit customers in the cafe.

Local law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation into the accident.
