Chicago, IL – Cyclist Injured After Hit-&-Run In W Englewood

Chicago, IL (December 31, 2019) – Officers from the Chicago Police Department were notified of a cyclist injured in a hit-and-run early Tuesday morning, December 31st. Local sources reported that the crash occurred in the West Englewood neighborhood. A witness found the victim, 61, lying in the street yelling for help.

Authorities suspect a vehicle was involved in the crash due to the snow tracks and the damage to the bicycle. The injured party was transported to Christ Hospital in critical condition. The man reportedly suffered from broken bones in his leg, hip and face.

CPD is currently investigating the cause of the crash. More updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
