Chicago, IL – 2 Officers Injured In DUI Crash At Jefferson Park

Chicago, IL (December 18, 2019) – There was a crash Wednesday morning, December 18th, involving a Chicago police SUV. The crash occurred in Jefferson Park at around 12:30 a.m. The crash involved a red Kia that ran a red light at a nearby intersection.

Two officers were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Responding officials suspect that the male driver of the Kia, 38, was intoxicated at the time of the accident. No identities have been released at this time.

No updates on the condition of the injured officers have been provided. Local law enforcement is conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
