Champaign, IL (December 9, 2019) - A woman was injured following a hit-and-run accident at the Oakwood Trace Apartments in Champaign, Illinois, located on Oak Street. The incident took place on Friday, December 6th, at around 3:50 a.m. The injured victim was an Urbana woman, 31.

Ashia Marshall, 29, was taken into custody in connection to the accident. Sources claim that an argument took place at the apartment complex, and the victim was struck by a Honda Civic as it left the complex. It is unknown if the accident was intentional or not.

Marshall has previous charges of aggravated driving under the influence. An investigation into the accident is underway.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.
