Bloomington, IL – UPDATE: Victim Identified In Crash On Washington St

Bloomington, IL (December 29, 2019) – The victim of a fatal two-car collision in Bloomington, Illinois on Friday, December 27th has been identified. The crash occurred in the evening at around 6:45 p.m. at the 1900 block of Washington Street, east of Bloomington Heights Road. Gina R. Jesse, 55, was pronounced dead after being transported to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Illinois. 

Jesse was reportedly the sole occupant of her vehicle, which collided with another car. Multiple other victims were injured in the crash, according to reports from the scene. Jesse’s vehicle reportedly failed to properly navigate a turn on the roadway, striking an oncoming eastbound vehicle head-on.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
