Wilmington, IL – 1 Killed, 2 Injured In Pileup On I-55 At Lorenzo Rd

Wilmington, IL (November 19, 2019) – One person was killed and another seriously injured following a chain reaction collision near Wilmington, Illinois. The accident took place on I-55 early Thursday morning, November 14th. The crash involved three semi-trucks and two passenger vehicles and took place near Lorenzo Rd.

The deceased victim has been identified as Kenneth Bloor, 34, of St. Peters, Missouri. Officers reported that one of the semi-trucks collided with two passenger vehicles that were stopped at an intersection, resulting in them colliding with the two semi-trucks in front of them. Two other people were reportedly injured, with one in critical condition.

The at-fault semi-driver was given two citations. An investigation into the crash is being handled by local authorities.
