Summit, IL – 2 Injured In Collision At E 1600th Ave & N 600th St

Summit, IL (November 23, 2019) – Two drivers were injured following a collision at the intersection of E. 1600th Ave (Mocassin Rd.) and N. 600th St in Summit, Illinois. Local sources reported that the crash happened on Friday, November 22nd, at around noon. Both vehicles were reportedly pickup trucks. 

The injured drivers have been identified as Devon Morlan, 20, of St. Elmo, Illinois, and Ross Cornett, 51, of Altamont, Illinois. According to police reports, Moran was traveling westbound on 600th St. while Cornett was traveling eastbound at the time of impact. Both vehicles collided head-on.

Thick fog was reported on both lanes of the roadway at the time of the crash, impairing the visibility of both drivers. Both injured parties were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment. An investigation into the crash is being handled by local law enforcement.
