Merrionette Park, IL (November 21, 2019) – One man was killed and another driver injured following a collision in Merrionette Park, Illinois. The accident took place at the 3000 block of W. 119th St. The collision took place on Monday, November 18th, at around 6:40 a.m.
A 22-year-old driver traveling westbound lost control of his vehicle and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a GMC Canyon. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The 22-year-old driver was later pronounced dead.
The other driver, 49, was treated and later released from the hospital. Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
