Downers Grove, IL (November 24, 2019) – A man is in a coma after being involved in a serious hit-and-run early Thursday morning, November 21st. The victim, identified as Kyle Tobolic of Downers Grove, Illinois, was found outside a vehicle after being ejected at around 1 a.m near College Rd. The driver of the vehicle, Tyler Kroll, 26, fled the scene of the accident, leaving Tobolic in intense pain.
Kroll is accused of veering in and out of oncoming traffic, driving the car into a ditch, and leaving the scene of the accident. Kroll turned himself in to authorities on Friday, November 22nd. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
Tobolic is reportedly still in critical condition. Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
