Most people accept that when they go out onto the road in a motor vehicle, there is a chance that there will be an accident. However, few think that it will actually happen to them. A recent multi-vehicle crash in Chicago, that resulted in one man’s death and injuries to two others, is likely to lead to charges against one of the drivers. A 19-year-old male in a BMW rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped in traffic at around 7:25 p.m. The car that was rear-ended subsequently crashed into two other motor vehicles. The BMW then crashed into a tree.
One of the passengers in the BMW, a 20-year-old male, was trapped in the vehicle. The vehicle that was rear-ended was being driven by a 35-year-old man who was also hospitalized. He is reportedly in stable condition. Law enforcement believes that this accident was linked to alcohol use on the part of the driver of the BMW, making it a fatal drunk driving accident. The driver will likely face charges for his role in the accident.
When there is a car crash of any kind, those who were affected will have a great deal to consider in its aftermath. If there were injuries, the person who was hurt might need hospitalization and treatment that can cost a significant amount of money.
