Research finds increase in automobile accident fatalities in 2016

Considering the number of accidents that occur on the highway in Illinois and across the U.S., it is beneficial for research to be conducted to determine the causes of these crashes. While knowing how and why it happened might not provide a great deal of solace to those who were hurt or lost a loved one in a fatal car accident, this research can be useful when deciding whether to file a case to receive compensation. Research by the National Safety Council found that more than 40,000 people were killed in accidents on the road in the U.S. in 2016. This was the highest number in 10 years.

Birth Injuries and Erb's Palsy

There are very few people that travel to the hospital in a happy mood; however, one of the happiest trips of a young couple's life together is that trip to the hospital to deliver a child. Childbirth is one of the miracles of nature and most couples just want the child to be healthy. While most babies are born without issue, some babies are born with medical problems.

Legal help for nursing home neglect and lack of treatment

A reason that many families in Illinois choose to place their ill or infirm loved ones in a nursing home is so the loved one can have immediate medical treatment if it is necessary. While a nursing home is not a hospital, its staff will have trained medical professionals who can provide competent care as soon as it is required. The speed with which medical treatment is provided can mean the difference between the person surviving and getting better or growing worse and dying.

Man installing sign dies in fatal construction accident

Any type of construction work in Illinois and throughout the U.S. carries with it a certain amount of risk. Some jobs are more dangerous than others, but, in general, those who are working on a construction site in any capacity must be fully aware of their surroundings to avoid a fatal construction accident. When there is an unfortunate incident and a worker dies, an investigation is imperative to determine whether the accident happened due to construction negligence, a mistake on the part of those working on the site, weather conditions, or for any other reason. With the death of a worker in the course of employment, the investigation can be key to pursuing compensation in a legal filing.

Woman standing in car wash killed in automobile accident

It is an unfortunate reality that there can be a fatal car crash at any time in Cook County, throughout Illinois and across the U.S. Many of these accidents occur between a vehicle and a fatal car accident victim who is a pedestrian or otherwise unprotected by a vehicle. For the family left behind, the loss of a loved one can be difficult to reconcile. The automobile accident must be fully investigated to determine its cause and gather evidence to consider moving forward with a legal filing.
